Michael Cardona

Managing Principal

 

Michael is the founder and Principal of Perpetuus Capital.  Prior to Perpetuus, Michael served as Senior Vice President and Partner of Guggenheim Investment Advisors, LLC; part of Guggenheim Partners, a global, independent, privately held, diversified financial services firm with more than $150 billion in assets under supervision. In that position, he was co-head of the Portfolio Management Division responsible for developing the investment strategy for ultra-high net worth families, endowments, and foundations.  Additionally, Mr. Cardona established and supervised the third party manager due diligence and selection process, directly allocating more than $800 million in private equity and hedge fund strategies.

 

Mr. Cardona participated in the global expansion of the group, coordinating the establishment of corporate offices in Geneva, Hong Kong, and London.  During his eleven-year tenure, assets under management increased from $150 million to over $3.5 billion.  Mr. Cardona earned a Finance and Business Management Degree from the University of Miami.

 

 

Jaime Restrepo

Director

 

Mr. Restrepo is a Director of Perpetuus Capital with a focus on business valuation, mergers & acquisitions, asset transfers, and tax consulting.  Mr. Restrepo has over twenty-five years experience working closely with mutual funds and investment banks.

 

Mr. Restrepo is a graduate of Rutgers University where he received his bachelors in Accounting with a minor in Finance.  He obtained his CPA designation in New Jersey.  Mr. Restrepo sits on the board of several chartable organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters.

 

 

Rich Rainone

Director

 

Mr. Rainone is a Director of Perpetuus Capital with a focus on estate and insurance consulting.  Mr. Rainone has more than 15 years experience and was previously a managing partner of a boutique insurance firm, providing services to private banks and institutions.

 

Mr. Rainone served honorably for over 8 years in the United States Marine Corps prior to entering the insurance field.  He is active in several charitable organizations and coaching youth hockey.
